Community Food Distribution
So What Else’s mission is to improve the lives of children and families living in underserved communities in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Area by providing food security, access to basic necessities, and high-quality out-of-school time programs in literacy, athletics, and the visual and performing arts while inspiring young people to give back to the community by creating volunteer opportunities for citizens of all ages.
Thier particular work with Salem-Baltimore UMC is in supporting a healthy environment through food recovery through pop-up food distributions.
The Comité Latino Facebook group connects more than 3,000 members with food drives, housing, free COVID-19 testing and more. B’more Community Breastfeeding Support
Many of the different programs that Baltimore Medical System has for the community is their B’more Community Breastfeeding Support program. There can be many health benefits to breastfeeding but it isn’t always easy. Sometimes nursing can be painful or your baby can’t latch on. Meet with other moms who can relate. These groups are free.
